At a packed anfield stadium, Liverpool won 1-0 over arch rivals Man United. The only goal came from Peter Crouch, who was called a "flop" by critics. Gerrard plays a short corner to Finnan, who crossed the ball into the box. Vidic, the man united defender, was poor in the marking of Crouch and allowed him to head the ball into goal. Man United were strong in the 2nd half but were unable to find the goal they needed. It is Liverpool first win in over 85 years over Man United in the FA cup.


My reactions to the match : This is an important win for Liverpool. Their morale is now very high as they have now won three games in a row- Wigan, Arsenal and Man United. Liverpool are now prepared for the Champions League. They are full of confidence, which is very important for European games. And about the Alan Smith injury, i do hope he has a speedy recovery.
